HABITAT
↗ The Montagu's harrier is a steppe bird.
It inhabits steppe or pseudo-steppe areas (open areas) with herbaceous vegetation and low scrub in mountainous areas.
Agricultural land is also a preferred habitat, with birds nesting mainly in cereal and forage crops.
